THE CRANE FAMILY REUNION IN SAN DIEGO

Here we are in San Diego for the Crane Family Reunion.  We had such a great time staying in the Cardon's Beach house--Thanks Paul and Raeanna!  It was right on the beach in LaJolla--we felt so spoiled.  The best part of course was being all together(except Brian and Laura, Kate and Ben--we missed you guys!)  We had good times playing the "Crane Family Game"--wow is that some trivia--from child hood days up until now--Steph did an awesome job making it!  We also enjoyed relaxing times on the Beach, running the 4th of July 10k Run (Thanks Stephen and Jonelle, and great job to Maddie, Josh and Camila--for doing the 5k-Josh even medaled-Woo Hoo!.) Watching the Fireworks was of course another highlight.  Then, on one of the last days we ventured out and went  Kayaking (we were schooled on ways to hold the paddles--and obviously--we were a little out of line!)  By the Way--Kayaking over crashing waves IS what it's cracked up to be!  It's enough to crack your neck (I couldn't move it for a while!)  Thankfully we survived and had a great time kayaking around the sea lions etc.  --it was awesome.  The next day--we were once again spoiled.  Since the boys often galavant off  to Golf,  Mom Crane treated the girls to a relaxing time at the Spa--Wow, what a treat!!!  During this all, any free moment available,  the boys  rushed in to play "Rock band"  -wow was that a show--serious talent that's for sure.  Finally--what's San Diego without Sea World--here we are at the end of the raft ride all wet .  While we were in San Diego--we also took the advantage of going to the place Daddy Doug (my first Dad) passed away- I don't remember having have gone there before, and it was a neat experience to be there.  It made all the stories a little more understanding.  We will always miss him.

Wow, Cos! You've been busy! Great blog posts! We had such a fabulous time in San Diego and in Colorado. Thanks for showing us the town! By the way, disclaimer, the unmentionable company on the sleeve of my Tshirt was blacked out with permanent ink before I wore it-- unfortunately you can mostly read it in the photo because of the flash and shiny Tshirt print. Good to know. Too bad they were sponsors of such a great event-- the Scripps Fun Run.
